Mobile Task Assistant (MTA) complements the DTA® and ensures agents can connect to storm on the move.
Agents can make and receive storm calls from their Android device.
The storm MTA mobile app enables contact centre agents to work fully-flexibly for the first time, using the storm Web iPath® softphone to make and receive calls from their iOS and Android devices. Working over WiFi or mobile data, rather than mobile voice networks, this means agents can be connected and available anytime and anyplace, free of call forwarding charges, even when away from their workstations. Answering the challenge of new hybrid working practices, storm MTA gives agents the option of using both their PC and mobile device interchangeably to maximize availability, productivity and employee satisfaction.
This app uses a foreground service to support ongoing call functionality, including maintaining a stable connection and enabling call audio recording when the app is running in the background. A persistent notification is shown to inform you that the service is active. Dismissing this notification may interrupt active or incoming calls. Calls are only activated when explicitly initiated by the user, either by making a call or accept an incoming call. The user can terminate the call at any time.
